Tuesday Top 3: My Go-To Blushes

It has really been hectic day starting from work, then I took my daughter shopping and dealing with the heavy traffic! Traffic’s really worst when it’s raining.

But I don’t want to highlight my hectic day but instead I want to talk about Blushes! Though I’m not really a fan of putting blush (blush on) coz I’m a contour devotee. But… In my case it is deemed necessary because I’m a pale kinda gal. If I go out there without blush on or lipstick, I literally look like a sick kid.

On today’s Tuesday Top Three, I want to share to you guys My Go-To Blushes that I have tried and really works for me if I’m in a hurry and I’m pretty pretty sure that this’ll do it for the working girls out there or students on the go.

1. Avon Flavor Savers lip balm in Bubblegum

I discovered this one when I was in Senior High School. I just noticed that my lip balm really doesn’t do the trick only on my lips. I still look pale with my face powder on and my Avon Flavor Savers on my lips. I tried dabbing the lip balm on my upper cheek bone going upwards. And my! Highlighter was not a thing during that time but it looked like I had blush slash highlighter on my cheek bones. It kind of gave me a warm glow and a lot of my friends noticed it too. (Note: No skin break out happened)
2. Sophie Magic Pink Cream

This pink goodie can be used as a lip tint and blush. But on my case it doesn’t work for me as a lip tint that will last all say. But… It does it’s magic on my cheeks. It’s very smooth and easy to apply. It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing your concealer, bb cream or already mattified your face with powder, the Sophie Magic Pink Cream will glide smoothly on your face. And works well from dry to oily skin but not on too oily skin I suppose. It’s like an instant magic blush and I recommend it.
3. Revlon Matte Balm + Pond’s Age defying Cream

Last but not least, I created my own cream blush. It’s been an old school beauty hack to use your lipstick as a blush on too. And I know almost all of us girls (plus our moms) have tried this trick. But to make it a lot easier with extra moisturizing benefits I am using Pond’s Age Defying Cream together with my Revlon Matte Balm in Showy. These products are for my personal recommendation only. You are free to use whatever lipstick you have or facial cream that you prefer. You just have to dab the lipstick on your finger and apply it on your cheeks then dab a very tiny amount of moisturizer to smoothen out the lipstick blush on your cheeks. And that’s it!

I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog as much as I enjoyed sharing my Go-To Blushes. I would like to know your blush hacks too or your ideas by leaving it on the comments section. Thanks again for reading! 😉

Tuesday Top 3: Must-Rush Makeup

Back in my high school days I remember that I’m really not into so much makeup. When I stepped into junior high I started fixing myself and my must-haves are: lip balm, face powder and sometimes an eye liner and that’s it!

Growing up I discover new stuff about beauty and it’s just overwhelming that nowadays there are lot of stuff that you can put on your face especially makeup. It’s as fast-paced as technology.

Way back then, makeup is just about covering imperfections and enhance a few features on the face. But now, there’s contouring, strobing and etcetera! And sometimes when I do my basic makeup, the basic doesn’t feel so basic anymore. I put on my concealer, foundation powder, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, blush, lipstick and sometimes even contour!

There also those in-a-rush days or lazy days wherein I don’t really pay much attention to my face but still care to look presentable. Or rather put an effort not looking pale or sick.

  1. Eye brow pencil
The eye brows literally frames the face and it can actually do a manor change on how your face actually looks. Personally, I go from my natural shaped eye brows with a slight arch to full eye brows. Depending on my mood actually.

I’m not really particular when it comes to brand of eye brow pencil but A few good brands that I have used are NYX, BYS and Clinique. I was supposed to put mascara here but… Eye lashes doesn’t really have a huge face framing factor unlike your eye brows which really is a game changer. #EyeBrowsForLife
  2. Foundation powder
I am literally the Queen of Oiliness. And I just can’t go on with my life without a good foundation powder that will help me get through the day with minimal touch ups.
Right now I am using NYX Stay Matte not Flat Powder Foundation and ELF Two-way Foundation Powder.
  3. Lipstick
I’m a sick-looking kid without lipstick. That’s why I make sure I always have one one on me. For a bolder look I always go for those shades that are dark red, burgundy or close to maroon. I’m not into shiny lippies. I actually go with something creamy to matte finish. And I double the duty by applying it as a blush too.

Right now my dual purpose lipsticks are Revlon Matte Balm in Showy and Maybelline Matte lipstick in Ravishing Rose and my go-to red lippies up to date are Jordana Matte lipstick in Berry and NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Prague. (Disclaimer: Prague is not actually red. It’s actually dark pink in color. And it may look red for some)

And that’s for my Tuesday Top 3 for this week. I want to know your top 3 makeup must-haves too and your makeup recommendations for those lazy days by sharing it on the comments section below. Thanks again for reading! 😉

Five Friday Faves: Random Beauty products

Hi guys! It’s already Saturday here where I live but it’s still Friday somewhere else in the world and on today’s blog I want to share my favorite stuff from skin care, to makeup to perfume.

1.  365 Daily Mask from Beauty Buffet (by Watson’s)

A mask is a must! Koreans swear by it and even Sandara Park of the band 2NE1 said that she’s using a face mask daily! Yep daily!

What I love about this face mask is its attached to a plastic-like thing to prevent it from tearing since the mask is like a thinner version of your regular mask or baby wipes rather and it doesn’t have a strong smell.

I tried using it for 5 straight days and I noticed how smooth and supple my skin is and it really looks hydrated. And also it appears to me that it’s a lot easier for me to put my moisturizer and makeup coz it glides well and blends well on my face. And it’s only 59 pesos!

TIP: I put on my moisturizer first then leave the mask while I sleep and remove it when I wake up in the morning. (Sometimes I wakeup without it anymore coz I tend to move a lot when I sleep).

2. Avenè Micellar Lotion

This ones is not actually a lotion. It’s a makeup remover. I just got the chance to try this one because I got it for free from Cosmopolitan’s Beauty Block event. And I actually love it!

It smells so mild and it totally removes all the trace of makeup from my face. Well except for water and smudge proof mascara. It doesn’t leave your face dry nor, oily nor greasy. I highly recommend it!

However, I don’t know where to buy this holy grail of makeup remover. Perhaps I can email cosmopolitan about it.

3. LA Girl Nude Eye Shadow Palette

I know! I’m self confessed that I’m over reiterating this eye shadow palette on my blog!  I love all of its shades and I’m trying my best not to use it on a daily basis.

It’s actually my childhood best friend who recommended me the brand LA girl. The thing is, she’s actually recommending me the concealer. But when I’m at the LA Girl section at a department store, the nude palette got my attention and I bought it! (Yeah I totally forgot about the concealer)

4. Nyx Soft Matte Cream lipstick in Prague

This nyx lippie is love! I know that on one of my blogs I’ve mentioned that the Revlon Matte Balm is my go-to lippie. However, the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream is my next favorite.

I like the mild vanilla scent and how creamy it is when I swipe it on my lips. It’s one of the US-branded liquid/cream lipsticks that I find affordable.

TIP: After applying this lippie, I pat it with my finger and swipe another layer and pat it with my finger that I dabbed onto a baby powder or face powder. Whichever is available. This is how I make this lippie last. ü

5. Revlon Love Is On perfume

This new scent of Revlon is basically Love. I don’t know how to explain the scent besides that for me it smells sexy with class. So I did a little research on what is the base of this perfume.

I found out that it’s actually plum blossom with ginger, cardamom and sandalwood, and musk, vanilla and amber. I just love anything vanilla maybe that’s why I really like this scent.

I only have a tester bottle of this one at home but once it’s out in the market. I’ll definitely buy one. I discovered that a percentage of its proceeds will go to breast cancer victims. So think of it that if you bought Revlon Love Is On perfume, you’ve done a charitable work and smell sexy too. 😉

That’s all for today guys. Feel free to interact with me on my social media network found on the stay connected section on this blog and you can also leave your comments. 😘

What happened at the Cosmo Beauty Block 2016

Processed with VSCO with f2 preset As promised! I will be blogging about what happened in the Cosmo Beauty Block 2016 that happened yesterday at SM Mega Mall. I  just arrived in time at the event. Had my name validated on the guest list and I was handed with a paper bag of goodies and their so called passport for freebies  (I accidentally deleted the photo of the passport) as you can see on the photo below. YJRS0755[1]EXYR6716[1] Freebies included: Pantene 3 minute miracle conditioner (which I am using and I really love how it smells on my hair leaving it really smooth), Celeteque facial wash, Aveene facial toner, BYS smoky eye shadow palette, a small bottle of Revlon's new perfume "Seduction" (it smells so sexy and I'm definitely buying!), Revlon Matte Balm in shade 220 "Showy" (Revlon Matte Balms are my go-to lippies and I don't care what shade it is. Coz it's very easy to apply and it's minty. I love anything mint by the way) and a cute white-framed sunnies from Sunnies by Charlie.

A closer look Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset The first booth where I went to is the Revlon booth. SO there I am on the photo on the top admiring all these makeups. They gave a me Revlon Matte Balm in "Showy" but prior to that you have to take a photo on their Love Photo booth as shown below. Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset
I got to try Revlon's HD foundation (which really feels light on the skin), Revlon Ultra volume mascara (the name defines its purpose I must say) and their Ultra HD Matte Lip color (and I love it! it Does look creamy matte but not totally dry matte and it smells good) Processed with VSCO with a6 preset Processed with VSCO with a6 preset IMG_9369[1] IMG_9357[1]  A few VERY serious lookin selfies after trying Revlon makeups. Honestly, I was actually lined up to have my makeup done with Ever Bilena cosmetics and it's just taking too so much time and I'm kinda getting hungry so I decided why not try to do my own makeup instead. 🙂   Processed with VSCO with f2 preset                   On the other hand, our very own local brand Ever Bilena is still  continuing its makeup innovation by launching at least 3 different kinds of lipstick lines which are the Matic Lipstick (which appears to me as a local version of Revlon's Matte Balm and it comes in 6 shades),  Supreme Lipstick (they have a matte  and a cream texture  available), and they have  6 shades of Liquid Lipstick (I'm planning to do a to do a review about it). Below are the Supreme Lipstick and Liquid Lipstick and other cosmetics that the brand Ever Bilena has.   Processed with VSCO with f2 preset Processed with VSCO with f2 preset Processed with VSCO with f2 preset

Small time MakeUp haul

On today’s blog I’ve thought of kinda documenting the progress of my personal makeup collection. I’ve gathered them all and took a photo of it for you guys. And… I just thought it was really awful!

These stuff that you see above. That’s just it! For a starting beauty blogger slash makeup enthusiast it’s not what it really should be. My makeup brushes are incomplete, eye shadows, eye liners, 1 peach blush, 2 mascaras, 1 compact powder, 1 concealer. And guess what? NO FOUNDATION. You’ve read that right. That actually equates to NO PRIMER as well (terrible).
UJQS6970[1]This photo above is pretty much everything. Revlon Color Burst Matte Balm (Sultry Sulfureuse/225) i love this shade, I use it almost everyday and its running out! Forever 21 Love & Beauty Lip Gloss (Maple), Forever 21 Love & Beauty Lips Amour (Brillant À Lèvres), Forever 21 Love & Beauty Matte Crème Lip Color (Pink Rose),  Forever 21 Love & Beauty Lip Gloss Stain (Burgundy), Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Brilliant Lip Shine (Torrid), Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Lip Gloss (Password) its actually running out but I really love that the gloss has a slight rainbow shade. I don’t apply it on my whole lips. I just apply it on the top of my upper lip when I’m wearing nude to pink shades. I have  1 from Maybeline. A Matte in Ravishing Rose.  I really love how creamy it feels on my lip, next time I’m going to do lip swatches for you guys. I have a lippie from Cover Girl, but I don’t know what shade it is since the label at the bottom peeled off (Sorry!) and 1 Sophie Lipstick (Russian Red) it’s a creamy bright red  in color. A Wet n Wild in Retro Pink. 3 liquid matte lipsticks from nyx and so forth.
CTHC4773[1]Here’s another photo. I just really love how pretty it looks. So judging by how everything on my makeup haul looks, I really need to step up my game. And if some of you guys are reading this blog. DO NOT get pressured on buying makeup for the sake of having them. Don’t go broke just to look rich you know 😉

That’s a pretty much it. I’ll continue  updating my makeup haul (and skin care) slowly but surely. Thank you for reading! Cheers! 😉
