I was just organizing and disposing makeup that I no longer use (especially the haul of lispticks). While I’m organizing my lipsticks, I found these 2 lipsticks that I rarely use. A Wet n Wild lipstick in a Hot Pink Shade. An LA Girl lipstick in a purple shade. i wanted to combined the two to come up with a new shade but most likely the darker shade will take over the lighter one. (YouTUbe Vlog below)
Prep Old Lipsticks and Lip Balm
So I started of by using a bond paper as a mat. Then chopped the lipsticks using a trusty coffee stirrer 🙂 I noticed that the lipsticks are not that soft. So I chopped of a small portion of my Maybelline baby Lips Lip Balm (also to give that fruity smell of watermelon). I melted all of those in a metal pot (this one I use for baking cakes lol)
Also, I have one of those transparent small pots that you can usually get when you buy a travel kit for shower essentials. I’ve put the melted lip balm and lipsticks in there and mix it throughly. Afterwards, I’ve put it in the freezer for about 30 minutes and Voila! (YouTube vide link here)
The lip & cheek tint might appear very purple in color but it looks great when you apply it. Come to think of the fact that when lip & cheek tints first breakthrough the market they have a darker purplish color or a darker red color. I actually posted about y Go To Blushes here in case you wanted to read more about lip & cheek tints.
