How do I remove my makeup? On today’s blog I would like to share with you guys my top 3 makeup removers that I’ve tried and tested. These are the makeup removers that you can easily find in your local drug stores and I swear by it definitely removes dirt and makeup. Also I have invented my own makeup remover.
1. L’oreal Cleansing Milk
For me this is one of the best makeup removers.
This makeup remover right here earned it’s number one spot on my top 3 makeup removers because it totally removes all traces of makeup on my face. It has a milky texture and smells really fresh and doesn’t sting (it’s a huge factor for me). I apply it on a cotton pad (or a stretched out cotton ball) then swipe and massage it allover my face. Then put a very small amount on my fingers for removing traces of mascara and eyeliner and continue swiping it with cotton. Sometimes I use it as a moisturizer after washing my face. From what I recall, I bought this one around 300 to 400 pesos i think. Pricy but worth it.
2. Avenè Micellar Lotion
This is my next fave makeup remover that I got from the Cosmo Beauty Block event. And until now I still can’t find where to buy one! Anyway, i love this product because it’s very gentle on my skin. And again it doesn’t sting. I just apply it on a cotton pad and swipe away those dirt and makeup. I have to admit that the downside of this makeup remover is it doesn’t totally remove my mascara. Especially the water-proof and smudge-proof ones. So I still use baby oil on my lashes and swipe it away with my cotton pad with Avenè.
I love it coz it doesn’t sting at all even if it gets into my eyes. This is a must-buy for me. If somebody knows where I can buy it. Please hit me up on the comment section or on my social media accounts.
3. Nivea Refreshing Cleansing Wipes
As usual I’m into makeup removers that doesn’t sting and feels gentle on the skin. This one doesn’t feel like an ordinary baby wipes (some baby wipes have a slight roughness-feel). The Nivea Cleansing wipes feels like a wet cotton cloth though I’m not sure if it’s comparable to a muslin sheet (kindly google that one for description.
Anyway, this one is good to use if you’re always on the go and lazy to prep in removing your makeup. This only cost me less than 200 pesos.
TIP: I tear one Nivea cleansing wipe into two (or sometimes even three!) to conserve the cleansing wipes. 😉
I have to admit that it’s not practical spending a good amount of money just for removing your makeup. But of course I wanted something cheap, does the job, and still cares for my skin. So, BEHOLD!!!
Been using the Belo Essentials Pore refining toner ever since it came out from the market (it’s actually one of the leading skin care brands here in the Philippines). I put a good amount of this toner onto a cotton pad and with 2 drops of Johnson & Johnson’s Baby Oil then swipe off all of my makeup. It doesn’t sting even if I swipe it around my eyes (reiterating: that’s around my eyes, not inside my eyes). My skin doesn’t feel dry after using this and I strongly suggest that you should try it too. Ü
