On today’s blog I decided to share quotes from one of my favorite authors Paulo Coelho. Paulo Coelho (de Souza) is a Brazilian lyricist and novelist and the recipient of numerous international awards. He is best known for his widely translated novel The Alchemist.
I also follow him on twitter and he is just so inspirational. Most of my favorite quotes are from his novel By The River Piedra I Sat Down And Wept. Though I only own one of his novels The Zahir. This novel is about a pilgrimage. The book touches on themes of love, loss and obsession. One of the quotes there says “What is meant to be will always find a way”. It’s just so meaningful. That’s all that I can say.
So read away and save it on your pinterest! 🙂
Paulo Coelho have already done 9 movies. Which I haven’t watched lol. Perhaps I might start with the movie adaptation of The Witch Of Portobello or Veronika Decides To Die.

Manuscript Found in Accra
Manuscript Found in Accra is a novel by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. The action is placed in 1099 in Jerusalem while the city awaits the invasion of the crusaders. Inside the city’s walls, men and women gathered to hear the wise words of a mysterious man– known as the Copt. The people begin with questions about their fears, true enemies, defeat and struggle; they contemplate the will to change, and the virtues of loyalty and solitude; and ultimately turn to questions of beauty, sex and elegance, love, wisdom and what the future holds.
The Witch Of Portobello
How do we find the courage to always be true to ourselves—even if we are unsure of who we are?
That is the central question of international bestselling author Paulo Coelho’s profound new work, The Witch of Portobello. It is the story of a mysterious woman named Athena, told by the many who knew her well—or hardly at all. Like The Alchemist, The Witch of Portobello is the kind of story that will transform the way readers think about love, passion, joy, and sacrifice.
In his most personal novel to date, internationally bestselling author Paulo Coelho returns with a remarkable journey of self-discovery. Like the main character in his much-beloved The Alchemist, Paulo is facing a grave crisis of faith. As he seeks a path of spiritual renewal and growth, his only real option is to begin again—to travel, to experiment, to reconnect with people and the landscapes around him.
